Avellino and Benevento eliminated, advance to the final Vicenza And Carrarese. These are the results of the playoff semi-finals Serie C which saw, in the return matches, Vicenza managed to win 2-1 against Avellino (0-0 in the first leg) while Carrarese emerged unscathed with a 2-2 draw in Benevento (1-0 in the first leg) gone). With the elimination of Sanniti and Irpini, the “Group C” of Lega Pro takes shape with the names of the twenty teams which, unless otherwise arranged, will present themselves at the starting line of the 2024-2025 tournament.
Avellino, Patierno is not enough
In the double challenge between Avellino and Vicenza, the winners were the Lanerossi. A hard-fought match in the “Menti” which rewarded the perseverance of the home team. After the 0-0 draw of “Partenio-Lombardi”, the red and whites managed to win 2-1 with the goals scored in the 14th minute by Della Morte for Vicenza who doubled the lead in the 64th minute by Costa. The goal in the 75th minute was of no use Patierno. A match whose ending was characterized by protests from Avellino and the double expulsion which first saw Vicenza left with 10 men with the sanction of Golemicthen in the 80th minute numerical parity was restored with the red card waved Armellino.
Benevento still in Serie C

Despite the commitment of the Sanniti, Carrarese managed to come out at a distance, first drawing 2-2 in the 66th minute with Schiavi, thus snatching the pass to the final.
The teams in Group C
While waiting to know the names of the teams that will take part in Groups A and B, we can start to outline what Group C will be, the one dedicated to the teams from the South.
Twenty teams at the starting line. Among these there will be: Altamura, Benevento, Campobasso, Avellino, Casertana, Catania, Cavese, Cerignola, Crotone, Foggia, Giugliano, Latina, Monopoli, Messina, Potenza, Sorrento, Picerno, Turris, Trapani and Taranto. Of these, Altamura, Campobasso and Cavese will represent the new players in the Group, representing the teams newly promoted from Serie D.
