CATANIA – Despite the uncertain weather conditions, the last event before the summer break with Lungomare Fest and the closed to vehicular traffic met the expectations of the thousands of citizens who flocked to the almost two kilometers of rocky seafront of Cataniato celebrate the National Sports Dayas happens throughout Italy.
Above all for the joy of young people and children, mobile pitches and educational-sports circuits have been set up to practice various disciplines. Minivolley, badminton, mini football, hockey, badminton football, gymnastic circuits and even mini rugby exhibitions, this last initiative at the conclusion of the “rugby and legality” project with the collaboration of the X Mobile Department of the State Police. Even the play spaces and gymnastic equipment in the Sciascia, Europa and Franco Battiato (formerly Nettuno) squares, recently redeveloped by the Municipal Administration, were very popular, as usual for the Lungomare Fest.
Many have chosen to cycle along the seafront or simply walk, enjoying the craft markets and local products. Another edition of Lungomare Fest took place in the name of joy and fun, with the aim of enhancing the practice of sport as a fundamental factor in the development and harmonious growth of the person, under the direction of CONI represented by the vice president regional Enzo Falzone, in collaboration with sports organizations and the Municipality.
As the summer season approaches, Lungomare Fest stops: The next appointment is scheduled for September 8th.
