“Great sadness, Davide was a piece of the history of the emergency room, an expert professional, a man, a devoted father: we will miss him”, we are very tried, it is really difficult”. In the words of Oriana Pisani, head nurse of the emergency room of the Modena Polyclinic, to the Gazzetta di Modena, the memory of Davide Moccia, the nurse who died in a tragic road accident in Sasso Marconi, in the Bologna area. The 8 year old son is in intensive care.
The fatal collision occurred on Thursday evening around 9.30pm on the Sasso Marconi motorway junction. From the reconstruction of the rescuers, a C4 Picasso, in which the nurse and her son were travelling, suddenly skidded and then hit the guard rail and then a Suzuki Vitara. The driver died instantly, the child was taken to the Maggiore in serious condition, as were the two occupants of the other car, a man and a woman aged 66 and 63.
His fellow nurses and doctors are shocked: Davide Moccia was a pillar of emergency medicine, many years at 118, he had great experience and professionalism.
