The final selections for the Italian Arezzo Wave contest in Puglia took place yesterday, 30 May 2024, at the Officine Cantelmo in Lecce. During the event, six bands, selected from previous provincial stages, showcased their talent and artistic diversity
That was the ice breaker Melpifrom Brindisi, to follow the Foggia people Raestavinvè, Violante from Lecce, Denny Music from Bari, the Tarantino Cristiano Cosa and finally from Rutigliano (Ba) the very young ones Lit Up Fuse. The jury, made up of experts, including journalists and well-known musicians, Giustina De Iaco, Giorgio Consoli, David Pretelt and Marco Ancona, coordinated by the regional manager Carlo Chicco, had the difficult task of choosing the band that will represent Puglia in the national contest, challenge to be held on 11 and 12 October in Cavriglia (Arezzo) in Tuscany.
The winner of this regional edition is Cristiano Cosa from Taranto, who will therefore have the opportunity to compete in the final phase of the national contest.

Cristiano Cosa bio
Music registry Born in 1995, born in Taranto, Cristiano Cosa is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Raised in a family of musicians and performers, he approached composition and writing at an early age, immediately showing a highly personal imprint, which takes its cue from the Italian singer-songwriter soul, but modernizes it in sound and approach, winking at pop and funk. Cristiano and the television Eager to put his music to the test in front of the general public as soon as possible, Cristiano participated in various television talent shows at the age of twenty, including Italia’s Got Talent and, above all, Amici di Maria De Filippi. With his performances, mainly on piano and voice, he was able to make himself appreciated by professors, judges and the public, reaching the end of the third episode of the evening. Musical paths Cristiano graduated in classical piano at the “G. Paisiello” of Taranto, but his training also took place far from his city, thanks to an interesting experience at the “Giovanni Battista Martini” Conservatory of Bologna and the many kilometers traveled after his television experiences, between studio sessions, live and showcases. Collaborations & Live Music Between 2016 and 2022, Cristiano opened concerts for artists such as Ornella Vanoni, Fabrizio Moro and Dirotta su Cuba. He was also in Sanremo at the “Casa Siae” showcase, broadcast on the frequencies of Rai Isoradio, to promote one of the his singles entitled Camminare. He performed at important festivals in his homeland, such as the Cinzella Festival, in two different years, first as a special guest at the Mama Marjas concert and, then, as the opening act of Fast Animals and Slow Kids, together with the “Blister” collective. With the latter he also participated in Medimex. He made his theater debut, sharing the stage of the Teatro Flaiano in Rome with Enrico Sortino, for the homage to the Tuscan artist Paolo Poli Cristiano, America and upcoming projects At the moment, Cristiano is involved in an artistic project with the production company Italian-American LuckyHorn Entertainment, for which he signed an unreleased song for the docufilm “New York Solo Andata”. On 12 September 2023, on the occasion of the premiere of the docufilm, Cristiano performed in New York, at the Italian Institute of Culture on Park Avenue, presenting his song live, entitled L’Ultima Sera. At the same time, Cristiano continues to work as an author for other artists and on his next solo studio work.
