Rome, accident on Via del Mare and Gianicolense: two motorcyclists dead

Two young bikers died in a few hours on the streets of the capital. The accidents between Monteverde and Tor di Valle. During the night the patrols of the XII Monteverde Group of the Police Local intervened for a serious accident, which occurred in Circonvallazione Gianicolense 45, towards Trastevere. A 24-year-old boy, around 3.00 am, for reasons still under investigation, lost control of his car. motor vehicle in which he was driving, a Peugeot Geopolis, hitting a tree. The driver was transported to the emergency room of the San Camillo hospital, where he remains deceased soon after. At the moment it is the only vehicle involved but investigations are still underway to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the accident.

Double crash in a few hours

Several patrols of the Local Police of the IX Eur Group then intervened in the morning, around 9 am, for another accident which occurred on the Via del Mare, near Tor di Valle. A 30-year-old centaur, for reasons yet to be ascertained, crashed his Yamaha motorbike into the Fiat Tipo, driven by a 49-year-old. There was nothing that could be done for the motorcyclist, he died on the spot. Via del Mare remained closed in both directions in the stretch between via Cocchieri and via dell’Ippica. This brings the number of road deaths in Rome to 58 since the beginning of the year.
