The Italian Farmers Confederation of Puglia will meet the candidates for the European Parliament tomorrow.
Tomorrow morning, from 10.30 to 12.30, in Bari, at the Parco dei Principi, the CIA regional leadership will confront three sides in the field in view of the upcoming elections. Meetings with the other lists will continue in the next few days.
In particular, the regional president and national vice-president of CIA Gennaro Sicolo will illustrate to politicians the manifesto developed and written by the agricultural organization itself which outlines the main critical issues that are affecting the agricultural sector. At the same time, however, he also summarizes the main steps of the policies and interventions that are necessary for a concrete relaunch of the primary sector, with a view to protection and valorisation and with a pro-European approach. Another topic that will be addressed by the president will be support for farmers through the renewed Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) because according to CIA every agricultural product must be recognized as having the right value.
