The Assembly held on Saturday 11 May elected the new Board of Directors who will lead the Saprese Association in the coming years. Just under 80 members, including active and retired railway workers, took part in the meeting which took place in the DLF hall located in Piazza Vittorio Veneto.
Present, among others, was Armando Massimiani, director of the National DLF who in recent months has performed the role of commissioner ad acta admirably.
Once those present were counted, we proceeded with the election of the polling station which conducted the voting operations. Gerardo D’Amico was elected as president of the Assembly, assisted by Luciano De Geronimo and Salvatore Lavini in the roles of scrutineers.
The two lists participating in the electoral competition have been acquired (Rebirth of the DLF of Sapri and United for the DLF of Sapri, led respectively by Vincenzo Ferraro and Vincenzo De Luca),
the assembly chose the open vote with an absolute majority (more than 60 people); system envisaged in the resolution issued by the National Council, which leaves broad decision-making power to members to decide between secret voting and a show of hands.
Voting method contested by the ‘United for the DLF of Sapri’ list which, not seeing its desire to vote secretly satisfied, abstained from voting by submitting a complaint request attached to the minutes.
The subsequent votes by show of hands decreed the following results: 64 votes for the ‘Rinascita’ list, no votes were recorded for the ‘United for the DLF’ group of Sapri’, as its supporters all abstained from voting vote.
These are the seven elected councilors: Vincenzo Ferraro, Angelo Carelli, Mario Fortunato, Bruno Morabito, Vincenzo Ferraioli, Giulio Bottino, Luciano Schirripa.
Within 10 days, Mario Fortunato, as the most senior advisor, will have the task of convening the first meeting of the Board of Directors to elect the President and Vice President.
