The PalaFacchetti match between Treviglio and Fortitudo was ugly, dirty and bad and needed an overtime to decree the third victory in the Bologna series and the consequent passage to the next round. The match was not exactly one of the most exciting challenges from a technical and ballistic point of view, but it embodied the so-called Fortitudo spirit of a team that never gave up even in the face of just 22 scoring points in the first half. The protagonist of the match and the author of the three-point basket that effectively closed the score for both the match and the series was Riccardo Bolpin. For some time now, the former Chiusi has been dedicating himself more to the defensive impact, his trademark, and to creating for his teammates, while this evening he has once again become an important factor also in terms of points scored, remembering the number 9 from the beginning of the year. Bolpin finished the game with 15 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists, and with 3 of 4 twos, 1 of 3 threes and 6 of 6 free throws in 30 minutes on the court.
Honorable mention must also be made for Bruno Cerella who, with the defeat of Treviglio, left the basketball game and did so with a capital performance, sacrificing himself for the team and being the last to give up. The former Reyer and Milano player finished the game with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 of 5 from beyond the arc, including a triple at the end from midcourt.
