CATANIA – In favor of Francesco Puleiocurrent deputy prosecutor of Catania and former prosecutor of Modica, in the fifth commission of the CSM, three councilors voted: Andrea Mirenda, Ernesto Carbone and Daniela Bianchinithe latter vice-president of the V commission.

In favour of Francesco Curciocurrent chief prosecutor of Potenza, the president of the commission expressed his opinion, Maria Luisa Mazzola and the councilors Antonello Cosentino and Roberto D’Auria. The vote therefore subverted the predictions of the day before, at least those circulated in recent days.

The “rumors”, also at the center of a case that has dragged associations and even the CGIL to Piazza Verga – against hypothetical interference or vetoes from politics – considered two other current deputy prosecutors of Catania as favourites. In recent days the names of that position have been circulating Sebastiano Ardita and Ignazio Fonzo.

The head to head

The proposal is therefore a head to head between Curcio and Puleio. It will be up to the plenum of the Superior Council, chaired by Head of State, the task of deciding. Sometimes, it should be remembered, the designations of management positions have been at the center of administrative legal battles.

It also happened recently in other areas of Sicily. The vote of the V commission of the self-governing body of the judiciary, the one that deals with of the conferral of managerial and semi-managerial rolesit’s from yesterday early afternoon.

The vote for Naples

A divided commission, therefore. It was for Catania, but also for the assignment of the position of Attorney General of Naples. In this case three votes went to the deputy prosecutor of the Supreme Court Antonio Balsamowhich they voted for D’Auria, Bianchini and Carbone; and three to the current prosecutor of Benevento Aldo Policastro. They voted for Policastro Mazzola, Mirenda and Cosentino.

The V commission had fewer doubts, however, regarding the proposal of the president of the Caltanissetta Surveillance Court, for which it was proposed unanimously by Walter CarlisiSupervisory Magistrate of Agrigento.
