The match between Cleveland Cavaliers and Orlando Magic was decided in game 7 and saw the home team, Cleveland, win the decisive match thanks to a super performance from Mitchell. In the first two quarters Orlando took a good lead, even reaching +18, with excellent plays especially from Banchero and a super defense that managed to counter the Cavaliers’ attacks. The latter did not start well with too many shooting errors and too cumbersome a game.
Even with these difficulties at halftime the score is 53-43 for the Magic. After the break the game turns around and little by little the Cavaliers chip away at the score until they take the lead in the final minutes of the third quarter and consolidate the lead until the end of the match, final result 106-94
The key player was the key player for the Cavaliers, Mitchell with 39 points, 9 rebounds, Levert 15 points, Strus 13 points. Orlando tries to stay in the game with great determination but the excellent performance of Banchero with 38 points and 16 rebounds, Carter Jr 13 points, Suggs 10 points, 9 rebounds is not enough.
Orlando will have to think about how to build a team around Banchero to try to win the title in the coming years. Cleveland will now face the Boston Celtics in the second round, and Mitchell alone will not be enough to hope to win.
