Norris wins the Miami GP ahead of Verstappen and Leclerc

MIAMI (UNITED STATES) (ITALPRESS) – Grand Prix number 110 is the good one for Lando Norris, who finally achieves his first victory in Formula One. It is the British McLaren driver who wins somewhat surprisingly in Miami, preceding yesterday’s sprint winner Max Verstappen, second with his Red Bull after starting from pole, and Charles Leclerc, on the podium with the Ferrari ahead of his teammate team member Carlos Sainz who, after a great duel with Oscar Piastri, fails to rejoin the leaders and finishes fourth. For McLaren this is the first success after two and a half years: the last joy had arrived in Monza, in 2021, with Daniel Ricciardo. Red Bull then placed Sergio Perez in fifth place, ahead of Lewis Hamilton. Behind the seven-time world champion a positive Yuki Tsunoda (RB), completing the points are George Russell with the other Mercedes, Fernando Alonso on Aston Martin and Esteban Ocon with the Alpine. Verstappen remains firmly in command of the Drivers’ Championship. Next appointment scheduled in Imola, with the Made in Italy and Emilia Romagna Grand Prix from 17 to 19 May.
