Ideal climate in Dervio (LC) for the second edition of the Lake Como Marathon, the race valid for the Coppa Lombardia MTB which, despite a Sunday full of long-distance mountain bike events, brought a myriad of enthusiasts to the lake, in race on the 40 km route with 1,400 meters of altitude difference which proved to be fast but also very selective.
Overall victory for Adriano Caratide (Leynicese Rdr Italia) who in 2h00’40” was right in the final by Daniele Mario Rainoldi (Team Da-Tor/Issb) by just 22″, third Mattia Farina (Lissone Mtb) at 2’50” ahead of Riccardo Panizza (Team Comobike) winner in 2023 and 3’36” behind, fifth Christian Rossi (Hr team) at 5’25”. Among the women, Claudia Peretti (Olympia Factory Team) confirms herself, winner in 2h29’02” with 14’28” over Chiara Mandelli (Team Todesco) and 16’17” over Maria Cristina Nisi (Boscaro Racing Team).
219 classified, an important number considering the many concomitances on Sunday. For the Derviese Sports Union, a great edition is coming to an end, supported by many associations and sponsors who believe in this event and who are ready to invest to make it grow further. The race crossed the municipalities of Dervio, Valvarrone, Sueglio, Dorio and Colico whose administrations actively participated in the event. The Lombardy Cup continues and makes an appointment for the next stage, set for May 26th with the Forcora Bike.
