Neon literary review, new event – Teramo

MARTINSICURO. Today at 9.15pm in Martinsicuro (council room, via Aldo Moro) the literary exhibition “Neon – Books around and inside the planet” continues, promoted by the city municipal administration with the collaboration of Di Felice editions and the Pertini comprehensive institute. The new appointment concerns the presentation of the children’s novel “Fugees Football Club” (Einaudi Ragazzi) by Igor De Amicis And Paola Luciani.
The novel, chosen for this edition of Neon which has as its underlying theme “The self and the other”, is set in a small village in Puglia where a reception center for refugees has been opened. The inhabitants, including the children, look at the guests of the center with suspicion and prejudice. But it will be football itself that will encourage the meeting between the Apulian kids and the refugees. And so what at first seemed like a stubborn rivalry then becomes an alliance to win the country’s prestigious five-a-side football tournament, transforming into a true friendship and abandoning clichés dictated by ignorance and fear.
The students of the Pertini comprehensive institute in Martinsicuro will participate, having carried out an in-depth course and a workshop on the book. He will moderate the meeting Valeria Di Feliceartistic director of Neon.
