A accident what happened in Puglia was tragic. Two people died in a road accident that occurred this afternoon on the Ionian state road 106, near the junction for Castellaneta Marina (Taranto) in the direction of Reggio Calabria. The victims, as far as we have learned, are a 46-year-old man born in Noci (Bari) but resident in Mottola and a 45-year-old woman from Mottola (Taranto) who were traveling in a Mini Countryman which crashed into an embankment after a violent collision with a lorry used for transporting fruit which overturned on the roadway losing its load.

Two people dead, the driver injured
The driver of the heavy vehicle, originally from Monopolies (Bari), was injured, while the two people on board the vehicle died. The 118 health workers, the firefighters and the carabinieri are on site, entrusted with the task of reconstructing the exact dynamics of the accident and establishing responsibilities. The road was closed to traffic with traffic diverted onto alternative routes.
