Eventually it will be Giovanni Oldani the candidate for mayor of the Meeting List for the next local elections in Ossona.
Ossona, the Lista Incontro breaks the deadlock
The official confirmation came a few days ago, even though for some time many in the town had taken for granted the name of the current deputy mayor as successor to Marino Venegoni: an inevitable sign of continuity with the administrative history of the Meeting List, which began way back in 2004 with the victory of Luigi Dell’Acqua.
And it is precisely on the experience gained over these twenty years that the new mayoral candidate wants to focus on to win the session of 8 and 9 June:
«Administrative practice is not an easy thing, you cannot improvise to be competent. There must always be experience and there must be someone who has already seen things.” I’ve been in the municipality for a while. I started with Luigi dell’Acqua and then continued with Marino Venegoni. It is difficult to imagine two such different mayors, but despite this they were both very well suited to managing the situations they had to deal with during their mandate.”
Oldani then wanted to spend a few words of praise on the current mayor, underlining how his contribution will certainly continue to be taken into account. It is therefore probable that he is already ready for a position as budget councilor for Venegoni in the event of victory in the municipal elections.
Also important in this sense is the cyclical nature of the alternation at the helm of the Municipality, as Oldani explains, taking the outgoing mayor as an example:
«Marino always said that he would only do it for ten years, because it is right that a mayor leaves his mark on the community but without becoming essential for the municipality».

The details of the electoral program for the next five years remain hidden at the moment, with the mayoral candidate limiting himself to taking stock of the interventions still to be concluded and which will probably be taken over by the council that will succeed Villa Litta Modignani:
«Now we are in the final rush with the closure of several projects, although some will remain pending. The main one is that of the cycle paths, then the renovation works on the villa are being completed, with the reopening of the square.”
There are two works in particular that Oldani will focus on in these weeks, presumably also from an electoral perspective: that of the transfer of the library to Villa Litta and that of the redevelopment of public lighting. A very complex and significant topic, the candidate specifies.
The list of candidates who are preparing to run for the city council has already been revealed; among them we find Veronica Panigatti, Massimo Venegoni, Elvianna Cerchia, Greta Cardani, Luca Cacciatori, Marino Venegoni, Marco Mascetti, Chiara Garavaglia, Gabriele Venegoni, Valentina Gornati, Alessio Teruzzi And Cristina Vismara. New faces and old acquaintances who will try to summarize the slogan launched by Oldani to present the civic:
«A list does not start from a person, but from a group that shares an idea of a country to carry forward».
