Ahead of the arrival of season 2 of House of the Dragonscheduled for June (WATCH THE TRAILER), Matt Smith (Daemon Targaryen) chatted with Fabien Frankel (Ser Criston Cole) in a video for Max’s YouTube channel. For the occasion, the two watched some scenes from the first season together, including the one in which the two characters clash to a duel. Here’s what happened during filming:
Frankel: We learned everything in Leavesden [sede di uno studio della Warner vicino a Londra]where we shoot, but we didn’t know each other [prima d’allora]. I hit you in the face with a sword and you were bleeding during rehearsals.

The cast of the second season, consisting of eight episodes, includes Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno and Rhys Ifans. Among the actors from the first season who return to the cast of the new episodes also Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall and Matthew Needham.
New entries in the cast are Clinton Liberty as Addam of Hull, Jamie Kenna as Ser Alfred Broome, Kieran Bew as Hugh, Tom Bennett as Ulf, Tom Taylor as Lord Cregan Stark and Vincent Regan as Ser Rickard Thorne . Also already announced in the new episodes are Abubakar Salim (Alyn of Hull), Gayle Rankin (Alys Rivers), Freddie Fox (Ser Gwayne Hightower) and Simon Russell Beale in the role of Ser Simon Strong.
