“In the playoffs, whoever is better wins”

Umberto Germanodefender of Triestina, commenting on the defeat in Padova and the ambitions of the halberds in view of the playoffs: “We responded well after their first lead and we entered the field very well in the second half, finding the overtaking. In my opinion, we were a bit naive by allowing them to turn it around again, but naive as a team and not as a department, because two goals came from dead balls and overall I think the defense, starting with Ciofani, put in a fairly solid performance. There’s certainly room for improvement and more attention to be paid to it. because we knew that they are a very strong team in these situations. The dream of making it into the playoffs is right, because without dreams you can’t go far. We will certainly try to take the good things we did today and improve the things we did wrong. I’ve already done the playoffs many times and I know that very often factors come into play that can change the predictions on the card, from the heat to the physical and mental conditions. Whoever is better wins, so we have to get on track, we have about ten days to recharge physically and mentally and to get there as best as possible. After that negative moment which affected our season we recovered albeit with some ups and downs, it will be fundamental to arrive at the next single match with the best mentality possible.”
