Yeman Crippa tested the Olympic marathon course of Paris 2024. The Italian record holder, capable of running in 2h06:06 in Seville last 18 February, went to the French capital for a couple of days with the aim of analyzing the route in view of the race scheduled for Saturday 10 August .

The Trentino man expressed himself in this way regarding the 42,195 km that will cross the streets of the transalpine metropolis, starting from the Hotel de Ville and arriving at the Esplanade des Invalides: “A very tough route, anything but flat: a lot will be decided between the 28th and 32nd kilometre, when there is a six hundred meter long climb with gradients of up to 13.5%, and a subsequent equally treacherous descent. We need to get there prepared“.

The altimetric profile in fact provides a height difference uphill of 436 meters and downhill of 438 meters. Near the twentieth kilometer a stretch with slopes of 3-4%while between the 28th and 32nd kilometers they will be found the rise and subsequent descent that described the blue and where the decisive selection could be made. We remind you that the 27-year-old is the European Champion of the 10,000 meters and that at the now imminent European Championships in Rome he will compete in the half marathon and possibly also in the distance for which he holds the continental title.
