Civil Protection
Civil protection protects the integrity of life, property, settlements and the environment from damage or the danger of damage resulting from natural disasters, catastrophes and other calamitous events.
Among the tasks of the Civil Protection, the activity of collaboration and encouragement for the development of local volunteering is of fundamental importance. It ensures the widest participation in forecasting, prevention and relief activities, in view of or on the occasion of natural disasters and catastrophes, ensuring coordination.
For Volunteering, representatives of the LANCE CB CERVIA Association will intervene, which in collaboration with the Municipality of Cervia (decision maker) is the promoter of SPAZIO CI.VI.CO – The Civil Protection square for a Vigilant and Aware Citizenship in a resilient, safe territory , sustainable: a project to activate the resilient capabilities of the community in which to share and train response resources to events and challenges, giving space (material, immaterial, digital) to a citizenry that becomes more alert and aware.
For the notions of First aid Representatives of some first aid associations in Cervia will participate, such as the Cervia Red Cross – Cervia City Public Assistance – Cervia Yellow Blue Cross.
The notions of First Aid do not only concern specialized personnel but concern all citizens: thinking that first aid is an act that is only the responsibility of health workers is wrong. Implementing simple First Aid maneuvers can prevent the worsening of an illness or even just bring psychological relief to the injured person.
Refreshments will be offered for the occasion by the Volunteer Coordination.
