Now in its 17th edition, it will end on June 29th with a thousand protagonists, fifty shows in eleven different places
Rho, 16 May 2024 – While the review of the Teatro Civico de Silva is about to end, with the latest events of T-Off, Assicurarsi ai Sedili begins, the theater and performance review of the grassroots realities of the Rhodesian area which has reached its end seventeenth edition. Rho is increasingly a city of theater and many are passionate about it, starting from the little ones. The 2024 program includes the shows of the fifth classes of the Salvo D’Acquisto Primary School, who will stage their five-year journey, and the forty actors of the newly formed theater group of the Tommaso Grossi Secondary School, who will debut with “Ad astra”.
The protagonists are increasing but also the locations: in Rho the Theater of the Civic Center of Lucernate, the Centrho and the Conference Hall of Corte Rustica in Villa Burba, in Arese the Multifunctional Hall of the Agorà Civic Center, finally in Lainate the Ariston Urban Center.
The theme chosen for this review is the margin, the border, the limit of belonging. Theater encourages reflection, so “The Silver Path” helps to grasp the line that separates life and death, “Antigone” focuses on the border between the laws of men and natural ones, “Down on the Hill” on the margin of the prejudices that hinder integration, “Two Destinies” on the possible love between countries on both sides of the Mediterranean, finally “Rebel Without a Cause” on the demarcation between group and herd, between being and appearing.
“Securing Sedili 2024 – explains the artistic director Massimiliano Mancia – involves professional and amateur companies, school groups, theater schools, associations, centers for disabled and psychiatric people and inclusion projects. Our objectives are to promote theatrical language as a practice of active, supportive and responsible citizenship and to consolidate the role of the Rhodes area as a vital theatrical hub of Lombardy. The shows are mainly free admission. The booking methods and any cost are indicated in the show sheets”.

Mast, Sala Agrati parish of San Vittore, Wikipoi. In addition to Rho, the shows take place in Arese, Lainate, Cornaredo, Nerviano, Pregnana Milanese.
A preview of the event was on April 13th the show “Prossima Fermata… Emozione” by the Amateur Company “Quelli del…Musical” emanation of the Cultural Association “Quelli del…”. The Securing Your Seats program kicks off on Thursday 16 May at 10.30am and 4.00pm at the Auditorium in Via Meda with “Goodbye to fifth grade classes. Travelling, together to grow” conceived by the fifth classes of the Salvo d’Acquisto school of the De André comprehensive school. You play the pupils of fifths A, B and C.

Tuesday 21 May at 6.30 pm at the Lucernate Theater “La città Armadillosa”, the protagonist is the Teatro dell’Armadillo with the Tuesday Children’s course.
Wednesday 22 May at 6.00 pm at the Lucernate Theater “Exams never end” with the Teatro dell’Armadillo and its Wednesday Children’s Course.
Tuesday 28 May at 5.30 pm at the Mast in via San Martino “A very nice house” with Caminante APS – Wild Theater – Coop Theater Laboratory. COFOL.
Saturday 1st June at 9.00 pm at the Auditorium in via Meda “Ad Astra”, a show created by the theater laboratory of the lower secondary school of the IC Tommaso Grossi of Rho with the Teatro dell’armadillo.
Sunday 2 June at 6.30 pm and 8.30 pm in the Villa Burba Conference Room “Sogni”, with Caminante APS – Wild Theater – Selvaggi Junior Laboratory on Wednesday.

From Friday 14th to Sunday 16th June in the center of Rho and in Pregnana Milanese in the Party Area there will be CIRCONFERENZE Circus and street theater festival which reaches its tenth edition and sees as organizers the Municipality of Rho and the Duetti e ½ Association ( the program will be released shortly).
