New increases in the price of metro and bus tickets in Rome. In fact, from 1 July the Bit, an integrated timed ticket, will go from 1.50 to 2 euros. Residents and commuters will save on the annual pass, which goes from 250 euros to 240 euros. «The Region should do its part and avoid tariff increases» ask the Capitoline councilors of the Democratic Party, Giovanni Zannola and Valeria Baglio. «The Region, which sets the TPL tariffs, be clear and say if you intend to proceed with the increases for Roman men and women”.

Financial economic plan

The new rates are contained in economic and financial plan of Cotral, one of the partners of the Metrebus consortium. This is the Metrebus fare system, the consortium which has Atac, Cotral and the Municipality of Rome as partners.

The Bit

The Bit is valid for 100 minutes from the first stamping and allows you to take the bus Atac, Cotral and Trenitalia for the regional ones. «On the subway – it is written on the Atac website – it is valid for a single journey, even on multiple lines, without leaving the turnstiles to change lines AB-B1; going through the turnstiles to change the AC line”.

The economic plan

The adjustment of tariffs had already been thought about for two years and was always postponed with the disbursement of extraordinary funds by the Lazio region. But then the Cotral economic and financial plan it was published in the regional bulletin on March 25th. The other increases

In addition to the bit, they also increase the daily ticket (from 7 to 9.30 euros), the one valid for two days (from 12.50 to 16.70), as well as the one for 72 hours (from 18 to 24 euros) and the weekly one (from 24 to 32 euros). For season tickets the subsidized annual Roma Capitale increases, from 91 to 103.85 euros, the Birg, from 10.13 to 13.50 euros, the Btr (from 24.22 euros to 32.20) and the cirs (from 36.17 to 48.22 euros).
