Two men aged 24 and 42 were arrested by the police for the attempted murder of a 54 year old, which occurred in via Rosaroll; they would have stabbed him in the street in front of witnesses.

The alleged perpetrators of the wounding of a 54-year-old who, at the end of February, was attacked in via Cesare Rosaroll, in the center of Naples, and left on the ground in a pool of blood, with numerous knife wounds to his abdomen and limbs have been identified inferior: for the State Police they are Alfonso Attanasio, 25 years old, and Giuseppe Catone, 42 years old, the two are accused of attempted aggravated murder in competition. Both were taken to prison, in execution of a precautionary custody order issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Naples.

The attack dates back to February 29th. The victim is a local resident. According to reconstructions, the man was in via Rosaroll when he was blocked by two people arriving on two scooters, both with their faces uncovered, who first verbally abused him and then they would have pounced on him armed with knives, and then disappears immediately afterwards. The 54-year-old, transported to hospital in serious condition, underwent delicate emergency surgery for “5 wounds to the lower limbs with cutting of some veins and one to the abdomen which severed the intestine”.

The investigations were carried out by the Flying Squad of the Naples Police Headquarters and by the Vicaria-Mercato police station. The police arrived at the identification of the suspects by examining the recordings of some surveillance cameras installed near the site of the attack and along the surrounding streets; investigative elements were also obtained from the testimonies of some present. The motive would be linked to old conflicts between the two suspects and the victim’s family.
