Spoleto (Pg) – The Umbrian oil company Monini was awarded the first prize at the 22nd edition of the Sol D’Oro international olive oil competition in the Big Producers category for his Coratina monocultivar. A cultivar that last year had already been elected second best organic extra virgin oil in the world by the World’s Best Olive Oil.

“This latest certificate fills us with pride and demonstrates once again how quality is an objective towards which even a large company, a Big Producers, must strive,” he comments Zefferino Monini, CEO of the company. “The public knows us as an ‘industrial’ brand, actually we are a family business which for three generations has been creating extra virgin olive oil with skill and passion, trying to apply the best quality standards in all product segments, from mass consumption such as Classico to small niche productions such as Monocultivars. A natural path for us but which is also obligatory: lItaly’s oil industry must focus on quality to maintain its prestige and position on the market”.
