As part of the project “Liberty: Sanremo in bloom”, two third classes of the IC
Sanremo Centro Levante yesterday morning they visited Palazzo Bellevue, headquarters of the Municipality of Sanremo.
The project involves an in-depth study of the architecture of the most significant Art Nouveau buildings in the city, with the aim of making known the artistic beauties and historic homes that brought prestige to the area in the early 1900s and favored its great development tourism, which has come to involve personalities from all over Europe.
Therefore, a visit to the municipal headquarters (a former large hotel) could not be missed, where students and teachers were welcomed by the mayor Alberto Biancheri, the President of the Municipal Council Alessandro Il Grande and the General Secretary, Dr. Monica Di Marco.
In particular, accompanied by the president of the municipal council, the children visited the council chamber, receiving some civic education ideas regarding the functioning of the administrative machine, with the hope that some of them, one day, will be able to take their city to heart reaching the point of holding positions of responsibility. This is in line with the spirit, underlined by President The Great, according to which “the common good must always be superior to personal interests”.
