MARTINSICURO. «A landscape to discover, new summer emotions to experience by the sea and nature that accompanies you at all times: discover Martinsicuro, caress its beauty». With this phrase, the tourist site of the Truentine administration “Vivi Martinsicuro” launches a new video promoting the town. A video that ranges from images of the beach and the sea to the other beauties that the town offers to tourists: from the Torrione Carlo V to the nature trails of the Tronto River and the coastal biotope. This opens the promotion for the next bathing season, which will have an important prologue on May 16th with the start of the 12th stage of the Giro d’Italia cycling from the large roundabout close to the mouth of the Tronto river.
The administration, meanwhile, is preparing a rich program of events for the summer season. «It will be a very rich program of events to cover all the various age groups», the words of the tourism delegate Umberto Barcaroli, «the entire majority, each with their own skills, is engaged in meticulous work to prepare an even richer calendar of events than last year, which brought enormous consensus from residents and tourists. We are finishing assembling it with the contracts and it will be published shortly.” Barcaroli doesn’t say too much about the top names, but there are several rumors circulating in the town. On a musical level, after the success of last year’s concert babywhich brought about 7 thousand people to the seafront, on the evening of August 15th, most probably on the Europa seafront in Martinsicuro, the Matia Bazar, an Italian musical group formed in 1975 in Genoa, and which is part of the history of Italian song having won two Sanremo Festivals and having achieved notable successes abroad too. Another important name in Italian song should perform at Villa Rosa: it would be the historic singer-songwriter Fausto Leali. The performance should take place in the square close to the Italia seafront. The names of the group are also circulating in the town The Different Twins and the international cover of Adriano Celentano.
In addition to the concerts, the Municipality’s program should also include parades, both in Martinsicuro and Villa Rosa, of the summer Carnival and the “Segura Tempora” event with period costumes, which should be held in July and recalls the origins of the town , dating back to the times of Spanish rule.
