CAIRATE – At 5 this morning, March 28, the firefighters intervened in via San Giacomo in Cairate For the fire of a garage. The team arrived on site put out the flames and he did evacuate a disabled person who fortunately was not injured. But the pyromaniac nightmare returns.
The shadow of the arsonist
In fact, it is yet another fire in via San Giacomo. Two years ago the arsonist was reported by the police who caught him in the act, but it was treated the judicial authority had not authorized the arrest of a “small” fire. There have been dozens of fires set over the years, without counting the threats: the suspect has behavioral problems and not just behind him. It remains to be established whether it was still his hand that lit the fire this night. But residents fear they will be plunged back into the nightmare.
Flames in Lonate
Last night, around 8.15pm, the firefighters also intervened in via Matteotti in Lonate Pozzolo to put out the flames that they burned 30 square meters of roof of a private home. There were no injuries but the house was declared partly unusable.
