10,000 telecardiology services under the agreement were reached and the collections of colorectal cancer screening kits from pharmacies more than tripled. These are some of the results regarding the services active in Ligurian pharmacies, with a strong impact also on waiting lists. Talking about it at F-online Francesca Massamanagement of Federfarma Liguria and institutional relations Ufl, associated with Federfarma Servizi.

Impact on waiting lists for conventional cardiology services
«We have exceeded 10,000 telecardiology services in the Convention, in line with the target», explains Massa. «The satisfaction, on the part of the public and patients, is great, especially due to the impacts on the reduction of waiting lists and in terms of accessibility for citizens». But there is also another aspect to underline: «The services provided under the Agreement act, in a certain sense, as a driving force compared to those provided in the private sector, which are duplicated and have seen an increase in the number of pharmacies involved. The service has therefore proven to work and has seen an extension of the fund for 2024.”

Satisfaction also for the project relating to colorectal screening in pharmacies: «The experimentation started in ASL 3 but, as the President of the Region, Giovanni Toti, also recently underlined, the intention is to extend it to the entire regional territory . There are currently 159 pharmacies participating in the project. The results are also interesting in this case: the kits collected have more than tripled compared to last year, as have those returned, with truly remarkable participation from citizens.”

Meanwhile, “we are working to launch other services in the coming months, again within the testing of the pharmacy services, in particular those relating to adherence to therapy for hypertension, COPD and diabetes”.
