Announced by the FIJLKAM Regional Committee, the Calabria Karate Cup – Memorial “Mimmo Maurino” was held on March 24th in Pianopoli (CZ). the Crotone Karate Academy, present with its athletes, summoned by Master Rosario Stefanizzi and directed in the competition by Coach Angelo Arditi, achieved prestigious results by winning 15 gold medals, 1 silver, 2 bronze and two fifth places , demonstrating a high technical profile and excellent athletic preparation.
The quality and quantity of the results obtained has, therefore, placed the Crotone Karate Academy on the top step of the podium, winning 1st place overall and therefore the Calabria Cup.
Present at the opening ceremony were the President of CR Campania M° Antonio Bracciante and M° Enzo Migliarese President of CR Calabria. Masters Luciano Dichiera, Viola Zangara, Francesco Bellino and Vincenzo Ruberto, members of the Fijlkam Calabria Regional Karate Council, carried out the awards ceremony and handed over the prestigious Calabria Cup.
The Board of Directors of the Crotone Karate Academy, in thanking the Technicians and Athletes for winning this beautiful trophy, which arrived precisely on the occasion of the celebration of the 50th year of activity of the AKC, highlighted that this competition gave the technical staff of the historic Crotone karate school to test the general preparation of the athletes who will be involved in the next national finals of the Italian Junior Championships (Ostia Lido 5/7 April) and Beginners (Ostia Lido 1/3 June).
