Exclusive – Viterbo – Here’s what happened last Friday in the center

Viterbo – Beats, beatings and broken glass. People running away, screaming and a car crushing a man against a light pole after nearly knocking over other people.

The video of the clashes at the Shrine, between Largo Benedetto Croce, Piazza dei Caduti and Piazza Martiri d’Unità. Shrine. Exclusively for Tusciaweb. Scenes from the Parisian suburbs. Except that it is Viterbo, the capital of Tuscia. City that should be a little quieter than the French capital or any other metropolitan suburb. Instead, last Friday, in the city of the popes, there were urban guerrilla scenes. A short distance from the Priori and Government buildings, where the municipality and prefecture have their headquarters, in the center.

Four people reported, three arrested. One of them also has to answer for attempted murder. A baseball bat and a hammer were seized. The police, carabinieri and 118 intervened on site. A situation that would have continued from 6.30pm to 8pm. At the beginning with real clashes, then with small outbreaks here and there that would only go out in the evening.

Maxirissa at the Shrine – A man with a bat breaks the windshield of the white Audi

In the video, which Tusciaweb publishes exclusively using a filter to make the faces of the minors unrecognisable, we first see some boys facing each other, then a car, a black and white Audi in the video, arriving at high speed. First he risks running over a person, who barely has time to move, then he hits a man head-on, crushing him against a light pole. Man who, armed with a baseball bat, smashes the windshield and roof of the white Audi. A few moments earlier, a moped with a boy without a helmet on it invaded the square. In the meantime, people are running away, including a mother with a small child, as you often meet at the Shrine. In the background the voices of the protagonists of the clashes. The screams, the insults, the shattered windshield of the Audi. People walking around with baseball bats. Violence never seen before.

Presumption of innocence
