One of the great objectives of the French brand is now to reduce manufacturing prices and, consequently, list prices as much as possible. At the basis of the project there is a simple concept, partly already used for several years by Apple, which recovers materials from old devices for new ones. We are talking about recycling and reusing parts, an operation that could reduce prices by 30%.
Renault in particular is working on three reconditioning lines. For the electric motors, parts and elements can be recovered from the “old” ZOE, Twingo E-Tech, Kangoo E-Tech and Master E-Tech, while for the batteries the ZOE, Twingo E-Tech and Megane E-Tech models are involved . Finally, for high voltage electronics, ZOE and Kangoo E-Tech can be used.
