Seasons pass but there is never a lack of satisfaction, Mentana secures victory in group B and passage to the play-offs of the Under 18 championship. The 6-1 achieved at Passo Corese last Sunday is yet another resounding success of a season practically perfect so far for Mister Quagliesi’s boys, who achieved an important goal and now dream big by targeting the winners of the other three groups and the title of regional champions. At the base of everything there is a solid group, well built and used to playing to win, as already demonstrated last year when the Amarantoblù class of 2006 played in the Under 17 Provincial. In fact, the past season ended with the victory of the Provincial Cup, the first trophy and the first important piece in the new history of Mentana 1947. This year, filling the president Sassone, the management, the staff and the supporters with joy and pride is amarantoblù the Under 18 Regional title arrived, which confirms the excellent work done by the boys over the course of these two seasons and gives us hope for the future, because the 2006 group has demonstrated that it knows how to raise the bar, highlighting itself even when the going gets tough and continues to surprise. The results come to frame an already beautiful path in itself, dotted with the attention of professional clubs towards the boys of Quagliesi and beyond, within a club in constant growth also with regards to football school and first team, and who knows what some of these class of 2006 will not be able to live, as early as next year, the experience of playing among the greatest while continuing to surprise and win with them too.
With these words, the president Michele Sassone congratulates the team: “I would like to thank everyone, mister, staff, managers and all those who work around the Mentana world. The 2006 victory starts from afar and our work to strengthen the team proved us right. Now we are ambitious and will try to win the regional play-offs. With perhaps an eye on the national ones. Forza Mentana!”
