Fatal accident in tunnel, driver from Brianza acquitted

Yesterday, Wednesday 27 March 2024, at the Court of Lecco the acquittal sentence pronounced by the judge Nora Lisa Passoni. Acquitted because the fact does not constitute a crime.

The public prosecutor had accused the Seregnese, seriously injured but survived the terrible crash in the tunnel, of the excessive speed of the car he was driving, an Audi A6. According to the prosecutor’s consultant it would have been 140 km/h, while the expert report would have reconstructed a speed consistent with the limit in that stretch of the highway.

The two women’s car had traveled about a kilometer in the opposite direction, dodging other vehicles, before colliding head-on with the Audi A6.
