AgenPress – Hamas released a video on Saturday showing two Israeli hostages kidnapped during the October 7 attack. The hostages shown in the footage are US citizen Keith Samuel Siegel, who was taken from his home in Kfar Azza, and Omri Miran, who was taken from his home in Kibbutz Nahal Oz.

“I want to tell my family that I love you very much,” Siegel says in the video, “It’s important to me that you know I’m okay, and I really hope you are too.”

“We are in danger here, there are explosions and it is stressful and scary. And it’s been going on for a long time, and I wonder to myself, how long,” adds Siegel. “Sometimes it feels like things drag on. I appeal to the Prime Minister and the entire government to participate in the negotiations to reach an agreement soon… I have seen the protests in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem several times, and I hope and believe that you will continue like this. Goodbye and I hope this happens soon.”

“My dear family, I miss you all,” Miran is seen saying in the Hamas video. “I hope that at least next holiday, Independence Day, we can celebrate together… It’s time to reach an agreement that will get us out of here alive and well. I want you to do everything you can and apply pressure in every way you can and keep protesting, so now there will be negotiations and agreements.”

Miran moved to the Kibbutz on the Gaza border 10 years ago. He lived with his wife and two daughters, worked as a Shiatsu instructor and is responsible for the landscaping work of the Kibbutz.

Siegel moved to Israel from the United States with his wife Aviva, who was also kidnapped on October 7 and later released as part of a deal between Israel and Hamas. The two have lived in Kfar Azza for 40 years, where they raised a son and a daughter. Siegel works as an occupational therapist.

Dani Miran, Omri’s father, spoke to Israeli news channel Channel 12 and said he was overwhelmed to receive the first sign of life from him. “Judging from the photo, I can’t determine, he seems to be fine, even very fine. I just hope he’s still mentally well.”
