The user who reported the receipt case at the Italian Internationals calls himself ‘The king of tennis’: he published on TikTok a video in which he claims to have had to shell out 21 euros for a sandwich and a Coca Cola in one of the kiosks in the Foro Italico area.
“They are profiting from our passion. I’m not saying you don’t have to pay, it’s obvious, but it seems embarrassing to me like this – said the user in the video published on the well-known site social networks – how much does a family of two adults and two children have to pay to watch a day of tennis?”.

The outburst of the tennis enthusiast, who revealed in the comments that he had followed more than a thousand live matches, sparked reactions from TikTok users, one of the social networks most used by Italians: and the people of the web, as often happens in these cases, it is divided.
Many users agreed with the fan, sharing their disappointment at the high price of the sandwich and drink. Others, however, wrote that he would have no reason to complain, because it is well known that during events of this magnitude, the prices they can rise.
Someone told their experience to the Tennis Internationals 2024, claiming to have paid 3.50 euros for a Coca Cola and 8 euros for a sandwich, therefore lower figures than those advertised by ‘The King of Tennis’. Several comments concern the general increase in ticket prices, with repercussions also on refreshment points.
Another user, however, commented by asking: “Do you know how much it costs for a trader to stay there?”, raising the question linked to the expenses of the traders who work at the Foro Italico and near the Olympic stadium in Rome, among the facilities that will host the 2032 European Football Championships organized by Italy and Turkey.

The Italian Internationals are the most important tennis tournament in our country and are part of the circuit ATP Tour Masters 1000 and the circuit WTA 1000: every year they are played during the month of May on the fields of the Foro Italico in Rome.
In 2024 there was great anticipation for the possible participation of Jannik Sinner, the South Tyrolean champion who with his victories contributed to tennis reaching second place in the rankings dedicated to the most followed sports in Italy.
