But in this case, from his Instagram profile, it is Lady Diana’s brother, the count, who pronounces them Charles Spencer who turns to his daughter, granddaughter of the sad princesswith excited and proud eyes.
The occasion of this post, which represents a rarity because Lara almost never appears on social media, is the publication of her autobiography: “A Very Private School”just released in bookstores. In the book, Charles Spencer recounts his anything but peaceful childhood. In fact, in those pages he reveals some dramatic events, such as the mistreatment he and his sisters were victims of at the hands of their nannies and the sexual abuse he suffered in the boarding school where he studied between 1972 and 1977. He was only eight years old. when he was sent to boarding school.
His revelations are already creating great interest on the part of the media and a certain stir: Everything is normal and in the order of things every time a chapter opens that has to do with the British aristocracy and touches even only marginally on the history of Royal family. Admired by such sweetness, they are struck not only by the resemblance of the features to the tragically deceased princess but by the girl’s profound and sensitive expression. The eyes exude a special energy. Very intense. Lara’s coming of age is an important moment to communicate. This is why, perhaps, her father wanted to expose himself for the first time in that image with her daughter, who until now had always been discreetly apart. To protect her. But now Lara is grown up and ready to face media visibility too.
Lady Lara was born from Charles Spencer’s second marriage, the one with Caroline Freud with whom he had two children, Edmond Spencer and, indeed, Lara. But the couple separated when the baby was just four months old. The family today is very large. In fact, Lady Lara has five half-brothers. Charles Spencer had four children with model Victoria Lockwood: Louis, the twins Amelia and Eliza and Kitty Spencer. For now she is a student who supports her father in the launch of her autobiography. “A Very Private School” offers a bitter account of an outmoded educational culture and provides important insights into a system whose impact was hard on Charles Spencer.
