In the enchanting setting of the Cloister of San Domenico in Lamezia Terme, on 27 April 2024 at 6.00 pm the book “Vuoto a lose. The demographic collapse. How to reverse course” by Marco Esposito, journalist, head of the Economy section of the “Mattino”, previously collaborated for “Milano Finanza”, “Voce”, “Il Messaggero” and “la Repubblica”.
The preface is edited by Professor Gian Carlo Blangiardo.
The meeting organized by the Observatory of the Two Sicilies Association will see the presentation of the author Dr. Marco Esposito who will dialogue with Dr. Roberta Saladino, researcher in “Economic history, demography, institution and society in Mediterranean countries”, the introduction of the event will be by the President of the Association Osservatorio delle Due Sicilie Architect Alessandro Malerba.
The intention is to stimulate and involve everyone on a topic that is unfortunately underestimated and fundamental for the future of a nation.
Without going into details and, above all, without revealing the ending, on Saturday we will discover why we are experiencing the phenomenon of declining birth rates and it will be an important opportunity to get to know the actors and causes that brought the phenomenon to Italy, and then examine the solutions together series proposed by the author to reverse the trend.
