Tips 6 – Few actual risks. Well done and well positioned on Alexis Sanchez’s shot, which was too central. Be careful when going out.
Erlic 6.5 – Extremely careful match in the defensive phase, also good with the long balls, often precise, to serve the attacking teammates. Well done at sensing the veil and anticipating Lautaro.
Ferrari 6 – He holds the defense well and stops the attempts to break through by the Nerazzurri attackers. He sacrifices himself in a slide to close a close-range shot from Arnautovic.
Kumbulla 6.5 – Good at keeping Sanchez at bay and closing him down when he tries to break through. Some inaccuracies in the long throws for his teammates but impeccable in the closures on Lautaro and Arnautovic.
Toljan 5.5 – Not very proactive in the push phase, perhaps worried about Inter’s flanks who often try to break through in his area. From 86′ Missori SV
Lipani 6.5 – Very careful match and dedicated to limiting ball possession to Mkhitaryan, the brains of the black and blue midfield. When he breaks away he does it with the right timing and tries an interesting conclusion. From 71′ Obiang 6 – He comes in and makes his experience available to limit the opposing offenses. He filters and closes well in his area of expertise.
Henrique 6.5 – He maneuvers well in midfield and fights for every ball. Test insertion and fold well into covers. Positive performance for the black-green midfielder who left exhausted a few minutes from the end. From 86′ Racic SV
Thorstvedt 6 – He tries some interesting conclusions but fails to worry Audero. Watch out for midfield, something is missing in the finalization phase. From 54′ Boloca 6 – He runs and does his job. He tries to show himself forward only once with a cross that is too weak and ends up in the arms of Audero
Doig 6.5 – Match of substance, race and determination. He has the merit of believing in it and stealing the ball from Dumfries in the 20th minute and serving his teammate Laurienté at the right time to give Sassuolo the lead. Also good in closings.
Lauriente 7 – He started off well straight away with some good play and some interesting crosses. Perfect on the opening goal which he scores with the dish under the crossbar. Also very good in the rebound phase where he recovers possession of the ball several times.
Pinamonti 6 – He fights and runs but is often inaccurate in the support phase. A sacrificial match with several generous recoveries.
Davide Ballardini 6.5 – His Sassuolo approaches the match well today and the players seem to listen to his shouts when he gives instructions on the pitch. Salvation still feasible? With this determination we can still hope.

Audero 6.5 – A great save from Lipani, then he raises the white flag on Laurienté’s moving penalty. Pop corn in the second half.
Pavard 6 – Among the few to race to the end.
De Vrij 6 – It contains Pinamonti without any problem.
Sticks 6.5 – He inaugurates match number two hundred with Inter by offering balls left and right, an offensive verve that remains a constant in his game. Behind it he has little or nothing to do. (From 69′ Buchanan 5.5 – That he doesn’t convince Inzaghi is now a fact. He must make better use of the little space available.)
Dumfries 5 – He returns to the starting line-up and makes a horrendous start, giving Doig the ball which becomes the one that makes it 1-0 for the Neroverde. He tries to make up for it with a good push on the wing, but the error remains the most significant part of his performance. (From the 60th minute Cuadrado 6 – You again, but we shouldn’t have seen each other again.)
Frattesi 5.5 – Better in the current game than as a starter. Little to complain about his ability to dive in: with the ball and in possession, however, there is an abyss with whoever replaces him. (From 69′ Barella 6 – Lace and lace without setting the race on fire).
Asllani 6.5 – It’s one of the occasions when he has to give an answer. In the not too distant future, can he keep the car keys? Inzaghi constantly asks him for more personality, he grows as the minutes pass and the Nerazzurri’s best opportunities arise from his intentions. (From 74′ Klaassen 6 – Tidy).
Mkhitaryan 6 – On his dresser he has a holy picture of Zielinski, which (perhaps) will guarantee him a few days of rest from next year. Between the two young men: he is expected to take them by the hand, play an ordinary match. (From the 60th minute Arnautovic 5 – Participates in the Nerazzurri offside festival, he who needs to get back into the game).
August 5.5 – The deflected shot from which Lautaro’s goal was disallowed is one of the few successes in his match.
Sanchez 5.5 – Plug in and unplug the power. When there is electricity, Inter turns on. Most of the time he fiddles.
Lautaro 5.5 – Even the walls know that he hasn’t scored since February 28th. He finds it at the end of the first half, but 21 grams of his desire to score are offside. Forced to return a lot to give the team a maneuver, he shoots a semi-interesting ball into the corner.
Simone Inzaghi 5.5 – Sassuolo like its kryptonite? Considering what’s at stake, let’s not exaggerate: it’s a completely different story compared to the defeat at San Siro. Turnover and celebration explain the relative desire of the Nerazzurri, who in one evening beat almost all the records still achievable between now and the end of the season. With the tricolor on the chest, for goodness sake, you can get over it rather quickly. Some doubts about the changes: Cuadrado will pack his bags in a month, why focus on it and not test Buchanan on the right? Barella and Frattesi together remain a chimera. In short: winning has already won, the last races can be useful for some more experiments.
