May 24, 2024

The child from Olbia has not attended school since May 2nd.

A child of only 4 years old was kicked out of an equal asylum of Olbia because it was “too lively”. A story that It caused quite a stir in the city. Since May 2nd, the child has been removed from the institute and labeled as “in need of a lot of attention and as someone who distracted his classmates”.

Furthermore, the teachers and school managers have asked parents to hire an educator at their own expense to follow them in class. The parents objected and instructed the lawyer Oriana Erittu to warn the school, claiming that it is a real discrimination to the detriment of their son. The family’s lawyer said that despite the warning the child is still at home.

The family of the little boy, who has no certificates attesting to disability, is in waiting to do a neuropsychiatric evaluation. However, even in the absence of problems, a case of serious discrimination looms. So the lawyer for the child’s family made a report to the regional offices, responsible for the private schools that receive contributions.

The lawyer explained that being a private school, the regulations are identical to those of public schools. The Councilor for Public Education of the Municipality of Olbia, Sabrina Serra, was also informed of the matter, but said that private schools are not the responsibility of the Municipality. However, she made it known that there will be a measure to resolve the situation and guarantee the child the right education.
