The historic American director passed away on May 9th, but the news came only a few days later. “His films were revolutionary and iconoclastic and captured the spirit of an era,” the family said. Jack Nicholson, Mickey Rooney and Steve Martin worked for him in some of his most famous films, such as “Little Shop of Horrors”, “5 for Glory” and “The Pit and the Pendulum”.
