Yesterday 27 March 2024, the Carabinieri of the Messina Centro Company implemented an order of the precautionary placement measure in community, issued by the GIP of the Juvenile Court of Messina, against three minors of Egyptian origin, as they were investigated, in compliance with the presumption of not guilty until a final sentence, as alleged perpetrators of the crimes of aggravated robbery and personal injury.
The precautionary measure arises from the investigative activity carried out by the Carabinieri Messina Archbishop’s Station, started immediately after the complaint filed by a minor from Messina who had reported that he had been attacked, in the evening, in a central street of Messina, with kicks and punches, by three young people who, armed with an iron bar, had robbed of his hat and his smartphone, also causing him minor injuries. The investigations developed on the basis of the statements made by the victim and the analysis of the videos extrapolated from the surveillance systems located in the place where the events took place, allowed the Carabinieri to trace the identity of the three foreign minors as the alleged perpetrators of the crimes . On the basis of the investigative elements acquired, the police tracked down the alleged perpetrators of the robbery and found, in the possession of one of them, the smartphone belonging to the attacked minor.
The serious indications of guilt emerged from the investigative activity of the military personnelcontemplated in an information sent to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Juvenile Court of Messina, were agreed by the investigating judge of the same Court who issued the precautionary measure, carried out by the Carabinieri against the suspects.
