Elden Ring it’s not just getting the expansion Shadow of the Erdtree but also a Big update for the main gamewhich will be published in conjunction with the launch of the DLC or a few hours before, set for June 20, 2024.
The update will also correspond to the day one patch for Shadow of the Erdtree, but concerns elements that are still interesting for users of the base game, including a change to inventory management that can be extremely useful for everyone. The release of the patch will be preceded by a certain maintenance period, which should last from 5:00 to 8:00 in the morning on June 20th.
For the moment, FromSoftware has only revealed part of the changes and improvements that will be applied to Elden Ring with the arrival of the patch, while other details will be reported later and then in a more complete manner with the official update notes.
New features for inventory, summons and hair
Let’s therefore see the most important changes reported today through some posts on X of the official Elden Ring account, with the most characterizing element probably referring to the changes applied to inventory.
As reported by FromSoftware, one of these innovations is the way in which new objects recently obtained within the inventory are highlighted, which will now have an exclamation point to distinguish them from the others, with a very simple but equally effective addition for give greater clarity to the interface.
Furthermore, a new tab called “recent items” will be introduced which will collect all the new items recently collected during the game. Summoning Pools can be transported within New Game Plus, and activated or deactivated within a new specific menu option.
Finally, FromSoftware announced that five will be introduced with the update new hair that you can apply to your character. Not exactly a hair-pulling addition, but we’re sure someone will particularly appreciate it.
