The Ubisoft Forward did not show a highly anticipated game and fans are once again desperate

During the event Ubisoft Various games coming to PC, console and mobile were shown, including big names like Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Star Wars Outlaws.

Unfortunately, the French company did not show other highly anticipated video games which seem to have disappeared into thin air. It’s easy to think about Beyond Good and Evil 2for example, for which many have lost hope after all these years of silence.

However, there is another game that fans were really hoping to see again: the remake of Splinter Cell.

Public reaction to the lack of Splinter Cell

Ubisoft players had hoped to see the stealth game during this Ubisoft Forward, but this was not the case. There was therefore no shortage of online reaction, with the average response taking the forms you can see below.

Let’s remember that the remake of Splinter Cell had been announced in 2021 and by November 2022, concept art had been released. Video game development takes more and more time and Ubisoft is busy in multiple directions, but after two and a half years fans were hoping that at least a teaser trailer confirming the game’s existence was on the way.

This was clearly not the case. Furthermore, a new Splinter Cell game (Blacklist) has not been published since 2013, so fans have been “suffering” for over ten years due to the absence of the character, if we clearly do not count the appearances in other video games of the company.
