Obsidian Entertainment apparently revealed it by mistake the release date of Avowedwhich according to the words of game director Carrie Patel will make its debut on PC and Xbox Series
However, the information was quickly eliminated from the post published on the studio’s official website and there was no mention of it during the Xbox Games Showcase, when Avowed was presented again, this time with a story trailer.
“The last few months at Obsidian Entertainment have been hectic and exciting,” Carrie Patel wrote in the original version of the text. “Ever since we saw you at the Xbox Developer Direct last January, we’ve been busy with Avowed getting it ready for release. November 12, 2024.”
“Today we are thrilled to have revealed ours first story trailer ever at the Xbox Games Showcase 2024 and to be able to talk to you about what we shared.”
Are there still no certainties?
As mentioned, Avowed was shown yesterday with a story trailer at the Xbox Games Showcase, but this sudden change of mind regarding the announcement of the release date it could mean that there are still no certainties in this sense.
Obsidian and/or Microsoft probably thought it was wiser do not reveal this information yetwaiting to have absolute certainty that the game will actually be ready to launch in November.
