Helldivers 2: Arrowhead goes overboard with balance, says CEO

The developers of Arrowhead Game Studios they have overdone with the balance Of Helldivers 2: the CEO of the team, Julian Pilestedt, admitted this in response to a user who complained about the changes made to the gameplay.

The issue is linked to the Helldivers 2 patch of May 7, which changes the balance and which, according to some players, is part of a series of measures that they make the experience less fun compared to the past.

“Yes, I think so we went too far in some situations,” Pilestedt wrote on Twitter. “I will talk to the team about the balance approach, because it seems like every time someone finds something funny, it ends up being removed.”

Responding to other users, the Arrowhead CEO acknowledged that there is a problem with weapon balancing, which manifests itself in an excessive focus on the damage done rather than on other aspects such as recoil, reload speed, accuracy, aiming speed.

A delicate situation

After Sony’s sensational about-turn, the situation of Helldivers 2 has become quite delicate, as demonstrated by the survey on whether or not the new War Title will be postponed: Arrowhead proceeds with great cautionas understandable.

Precisely with this in mind the developers and the CEO they are listening regarding the reports on balance, and although this is a rather complex aspect there is certainly the intention to find the right compromise.

An attitude that players are rewarding for the moment, see the many positive reviews on Steam in recent days.
