As pre-announced by Capcom in recent days, the first major update of Dragon’s Dogma 2 it’s officially available for download: from now on you can download the version 1.050 on PS5 and PCwith some important new features.
At the moment the update has not been made available for the editions Xbox Serieswhich will need a little more time: the developers let it be known that the patch will be available for fans on Microsoft home consoles only from next week.
In addition to having fixed several minor bugs, the new update of Dragon’s Dogma 2 (you can find it on Amazon) responded to one of the most common criticisms from players: now you can start one new game even without necessarily deleting the save already existing.
Obviously, however, only 1 file will remain available, so it is a useful option if you are undecided whether or not to start a new adventure, or perhaps to test new skills.
Furthermore, the authors of Dragon’s Dogma 2 they also made the mission that allows you to buy a house available in advance, necessary to save and rest.
Some have also been added graphics options on consolebut Capcom is keen to point out that they are not used to improve the framerate: for that we will need a patch that will arrive in the next few weeks.

PlayStation 5/Steam
- Added option to start a new game when save data already exists.
- Increased the number of “Art of Metamorphosis” items available at Pawn Guilds in the game to 99.
- The mission that allows players to acquire their own home (where they can save and rest) has been made available earlier in the game.
- Fixed some text display issues.
- Fixed other minor issues.
PlayStation 5
- Added option* to turn motion blur on or off in Options.
- Added option* to enable or disable ray tracing in Options.
- Added option to set frame rate to max 30 fps in Options.
- * These options will not significantly affect the frame rate. Frame rate improvements are planned in future updates.
Steam
- Improved quality when DLSS Super Resolution is enabled.
We can only leave you with advice download as soon as possible this update on PS5 and PC, although unfortunately Xbox fans will still have to be a little patient.
For the next updates, Capcom has already started thinking about potential DLC, but before developing them it wants to know your opinion in a dedicated survey.
