A few hours and the first step of registration will be completed for the 33rd Brianza BIKE MARATHON which will be presented to mountain bike enthusiasts this year two weeks after its usual date of early September.
The historic Brianza event will be held with a two-week “delay”, on September 15, a novelty that reprograms the bikers’ calendar at the end of the summer holidays, leaving the less trained ones an additional margin of preparation to be able to best tackle the 50 kilometers of the route that will pass through the most characteristic cycling points of the Montevecchia Park and the Curone Valley.
The Brianza BIKE MARATHON is a well-established event, which has continuously evolved over the years. Born as a non-competitive event, it has evolved over time to become a traditional event on the national mountain bike scene, also functioning as a valorisation of the excellence of the Brianza area, in particular the most beautiful and characteristic places of the Montevecchia Park and the Valle de Curone.
Also this year for the national XCP race, the Adventure and E-Bike category, a single 50 km route with a total difference in altitude of 1,250 meters without long climbs but dotted with steep climbs and ups and downs, with frequent passages on the southernmost hills of the Lecco Brianza in the territory of the mysterious Pyramids of Montevecchia. Departure and arrival, as always, at the Palestra di via Volta in Casatenovo.
In addition to the competitive race and the cycling event, on Saturday 14 September, in the Kid’s Bike, kids aged between 6 and 14 will be able to compete like grown-ups, cross the finish line like champions and experience a fun event dedicated to them. the atmosphere of the Brianza MARATHON BIKE.
After the good debut in 2023, the Marathon Gravel will also be livening up the eve. The “borderless” bikes that mix asphalt and dirt without hesitation in their routes will be able to choose between two extremely varied distances: 85 km with a difference in altitude of 1,300 meters and 55 km with a difference in altitude of 700 meters, two exciting tours in which gravellers will have all the time to chat, pedal together and enjoy the nature of the area.
Until June 30th and for a few more hours, the promotional registration fee for the 33rd Brianza BIKE MARATHON will be 30 Euros, but from July 1st for the entire month it will go to 35 Euros.
It is possible to register online with a few clicks from the ENDU digital platform www.endu.net following the instructions in the section dedicated to managing registrations.
By registering online through the main Italian marketplace for endurance and outdoor sports, if a person registered for the event is unable to participate due to force majeure, they can cancel their registration and request a refund of 85% of the amount. The request will be considered valid within 15 days from the date of the event.
Those who wish to continue using the more traditional registration method, with cash payment, will have to deliver the paper form directly to the two “Marathon Bike Points”: the Bicimania shop in Lissone and DF Sport Specialist in Bevera di Sirtori.
