Readers will have followed on all means of communication between the written and spoken press, that great cycling event which is the Tour de France, exceptionally started for the first time in its history, from our Tuscany from our Florence obviously on our lands of the Val di Sieve and Mugello. Among the many signs praising the athletes there were also some a little out of line but still nice, like this one that a relative of ours sent us who was in Dicomano when the Tour passed. Time to photograph it because after a short time it had been …..removed, for obvious spelling reasons.
It is a thank you for the new road surface made for this event: “Thanks for the asphalt”!!! Another sign comes to mind, many years ago, when the municipal road from Borgo to Luco di Mugello was asphalted. On a sign, placed at the side of the first railway bridge, we read “attention work in progress for the Sfarto”. Nice purely popular and popular expressions of a Mugello that was.
