The FIGC changes the rules in view of the next championship: now the possibility of relegation opens up for Juventus and Milan

There Figc has published the new regulation on the Serie C championships and on the second teams and a change emerges compared to the past: the possibility of relegation to Serie D. In the new regulation, in fact, it is stated that “in the event of relegation of the second team to the National Championship Of Series Dthe same will be able to register for the 2025/2026 Amateur Championship″, also confirming the possibility of any repechage by following the established procedures.

But this is not the only novelty in view of the next season for the second teams. No Italian Cup A league and a series of constraints to be respected for the composition of the squads and tender lists.
In particular, the list can only include four players born before 1 January 2002, all the others must be born after 31 December 2001. Furthermore, there can only be 7 players with less than seven years of membership with clubs affiliated to the Figc. Among the other rules to be respected is the one that prohibits the presence in the list of players present in the list of 25 players for Serie A and with more than 50 appearances in the top division.
Finally, for playoff e playout only players with at least 25 appearances in the second team during the season may be used, or 12 appearances in the case of registration by the club in the January transfer market. Players with fewer appearances may be used, in derogation of the previous rule, only if during the season they have not made even one appearance in the Serie A championship.
