“When I test rackets, I focus on the sound of the ball at the moment of hitting it. If I have a good connection with the sound, then it’s the right racket.. In training, I try to play shots that often make the right sound. For me, it all starts with the sound: it has to be clean, heavy, not ‘rough’. In training, my goal is to have the right feel and if there is the right sound, then the feel will also be right”. This is the thought of Jannik Sinner in relation to the choice of rackets, to be used both in training and later in official matches. Apparently, for the ATP number one, everything depends on sound released by his shots, which must be as ‘clear’ as possible to satisfy the tennis player’s feeling with his tool.
