After a long break (also due to the cancellation of the Kazakhstan Grand Prix), the 2024 MotoGP world championship is finally back in action. We left off at Mugello and now we return to action in another of the temples of speed, namely Assen, home of the Dutch Grand Prix, the eighth round of the season in Moto2.

The middle class is preparing for a new stage of capital importance to try to understand which way this season can go: will it be a 2-way race, or will the title issue include a greater number of riders? For the moment this question has not yet been answered and, at the same time, the ranking is leaving all avenues open.

In command of general ranking of Moto2 we find Sergio Garcia (winner at Austin and Le Mans) with 122 points and 7 points ahead of Joe Roberts (winner at Mugello). Third position with 99 points for Ai Ogura, fourth for Alonso Lopez with 79, fifth for Manuel Gonzalez with 66 while Fermin Aldeguer is only sixth with 63 ahead of Aron Canet who tries to climb back up.

At home in ItalyHowever, we are still looking for the right route. The best of ours remains Celestino Vietti, tenth with 38 points, and a seventh place at Mugello which could give new confidence. However, Tony Arbolino’s difficulties continue and he is 13th with 33 points and only three finishes inside the top 10. Finally, even further behind, Dennis Foggia is twentieth in the general ranking with 10 points.
